When Winning is Losing 08/17/2017 I was playing solitaire on my tablet the other night. I wasn’t paying very close attention to my moves, thinking that I was on the verge of winning, when I realized I had one last set of cards to deal, but not enough cards to fill the empty cells. I had to backtrack and undo a bunch of my last moves. When I finished the game, the tablet declared, “You Won!” However, as I looked at my low score, I grumbled, “Won, pfft, at what cost?” This made me think of how we often love to win debates
